Course Overview
Accident Investigation training course gives a review about the critical, recognized and commonly used strategies of accident investigation. It is custom fitted for the prerequisites of Health and Safety in the Oil Transportation Sector.
The goal of accident investigation from the perspective of a safety specialist is to recognize and explain all the course of events (what, when, where), distinguish the direct and root causes or contributing elements of the accidents, and to point out the risk avoiding measures with a specific end goal to counteract future accidents.
Major accidents involve multiple interrelated causal factors. Therefore, accident investigation should be conducted through procedures or formal methods of accident investigation and a multi-disciplinary investigation team is needed to head the process. This course will equip the participants with a number of methods to effectively deal with accident investigation. They can use these methods on different areas of application and will be able to efficiently conduct comprehensive accident investigation.
A comprehensive accident investigation involves examination of all the critical factors influencing the accident sequence. These factors might be generated from technical systems or the people involved in frontline investigation and it goes up to regulators or government bodies.
